The Minister of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention, also invited the heads of the beneficiary structures to ensure the proper use of these works to serve patients through effective and efficient management. For his part, the Coordinator of the Health System Development Program Management Unit said he was pleased with the delivery of these plants.
"We are pleased to hand over this oxygen production plant because in fact throughout the period, it has been found that oxygen is an essential input to ensure the care of patients, especially those in cardiorespiratory distress. We have been confronted with difficulties. We tried throughout the city to buy oxygen from some suppliers but this was insufficient and it was not a sustainable intervention. Today, the provision of this oxygen manufacturing plant is a response to this need and beyond that, it is a response to our health system. Because even if today we say oxygen production for the response against covid-19 but it is for all patients," he stressed.
